AFE (Spanish Trade Fairs Association) was constituted on May 14th, 1964.  
It’s a private, unprofitable organization, whose field of activity is framed in the Spanish territory, for the representation, coordination, defence and promotion of the fair activities of its members.  

The AFE collaborates assiduously with Agencies of the Spanish Administration (ICEX, General Office foreign trade, etc.), being recognized by the same as privileged speaker of the fair sector.

Since 1995, the AFE is Member Associate of the UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), with headquarters in Paris, forming part of the Group of head along with Germany, France and Italy.  
In 1992, with occasion of the I Congress of Latin American Fairs, prompted by AFE, was projected a creation of the UNIFIB (Union of Latin American Fairs), which joined AFE, AFIDA (Association of International Fairs of America), and AFP (Association of Portuguese Fairs).
