Working environment - more relevant and more important than ever!
New technology, new methods and relevant legislation have made our
workplaces safer, more efficient and more pleasant. Toyota's success
with lean production, achieving more with fewer resources, is
attracting more and more followers. Due to Sweden's demographic
profile, Swedish healthcare, for example, is facing major challenges
where the operation needs to be more efficient and more human at the
same time. Is the Toyota model the solution?
Moreover, a new generation of young managers are ready to take over the
helm at many Swedish companies. What are their views on the modern
working environment? What opportunities and training are on offer? We
have exciting, changing times ahead, where the companies that are
already dealing with working environment issues as a competitive tool
will be the future winners.
With a changing labour market, working environment issues are more
important than ever. Elmia Working Environment 2008 is therefore the
green light for a refinement of the former fair format. Future fairs
will focus on new conditions for better, more sustainable business -
both for industry and the public sector. The goal is bold, but
optimistic: if Elmia Working Environment once brought the industry
together, the Elmia Working Environment of the future spurs the
industry forward. There is nothing so profitable - for society and the
individual alike - as workplaces where people can be healthy and
develop.
