Iran is one of the few countries in the world with a thriving glass blowing industry, which has four thousand years of tradition behind it.
The people in the Iranian plateau had always shown their skill in cutting and engraving glass. Archeologists have not identified any site in Iran as an ancient central for glass making. Therefore, there is not sufficient information about all the evolution of this industry in Iran. The earliest glass artifacts, in Iran, were found in Chaqazanbil, Ilamid temple in the town of Susa.
