National scroll saw exhibition
If you’ve ever admired wooden fretwork, love a good jigsaw puzzle or
even felt the urge to do something creative then don’t miss the National Scroll
Saw Exhibition held alongside this year's Adelaide Timber and Working with Wood
Show.
Held for the first time in South Australia
the national exhibition brings together over 150 of the best examples of scroll
saw craftsmanship from across Australia.
There are timber models of ornate cathedrals, decorative clocks that are
a work of art, three-dimensional puzzles, wooden toys and one of the most
ancient art forms of woodwork - ‘intarsia’ mosaic pictures made from the grains
of timber.
