The big construction sector event Raksa - Construction brings nearly 30
000 visitors to the Lahti Fair Centre every year. The Raksa event is
aimed at new home builders and renovation and home improvement firms.
The visitors are looking for tips and advice on construction as well as
for bathroom, kitchen and interior improvements. For many exhibitors
Raksa is the beginning of the spring and summer sale. The fair – the
number-one event in its sector – will expand to cover three exhibition
halls.
Raksa is a convenient venue for visitors to check out the innovations,
products and methods presented by over 400 exhibitors associated with
the industry. Building activity in the Lahti region is very lively at
the moment. A new, direct railway line and motorway connection to the
Helsinki metropolitan area, where housing costs are considerably
higher, has made the region an attractive destination for homebuilders.
The cooperation with the building supervision office of the City of
Lahti that began at the previous fair will continue and a popular
seminar aimed at builders of single-family homes will also be included
at Raksa. If you’re thinking about acquiring a site for your home, the
entire range of building sites available in Lahti and the surrounding
municipalities is on display at Raksa. Working presentations are also
an integral part of a fair for the construction sector.
The Lahti Hall, which was inaugurated in autumn 2006, will provide the
fair with much-needed additional space, making available new
opportunities for developing the placement of exhibition sections as
well as new, modern conference facilities to accommodate the holding of
information briefings and seminars in conjunction with fairs.
