Investments of local governments Road construction, urban and regional development, investment projects implemented by local governments in the area of sports and recreation facilities – these are the main themes planned for the three-day INVESTFIELD Forum 2008. The Forum, held as part of the BUDMA show (on 22-25 January), is thematically related to other BUDMA 2008 events – the Civil Engineering Days and the Sports Construction Centre. INVESTFIELD Forum includes lectures, discussion panels and presentations of example solutions to problems. It offers a wide overview of issues both from the theoretical and practical point of view. The trade fair will include a presentation of the government programme of motorway and expressway construction for 2008-2013. The topics of legal and social aspects of road and motorway construction will be tackled. The issues related to urban development and regeneration will include topics of management and renovation of large housing estates, as well as funding for regeneration schemes. Representatives of local governments will be able to find out more about the planning, design, financing and construction of sports and leisure facilities. They will be presented with examples of already completed projects. When preparing such a wide ranging programme, PIF cooperates with many partners, including the Ministry of Transport, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, the Road and Bridge Research Institute, Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A., the Agricultural University in Poznań, the Polish Real Estate Federation and the Polish Sport Infrastructure Club.
